Quotes and Take-Aways:
Tova – Canadians have the highest emissions per capita (per person) of the entire G-20. We are three times higher than the average of the G-20. So that means we are actually the worst emitters in the whole world per person.
Tova – We are extracting fossil fuels from the oil sands and it is dirty and resource intensive to get that out. The bitter irony is that we are creating high carbon emissions to pull out fossil fuels to make carbon emissions.
Tova – I’m worried about the survival of humanity. The earth will bounce back. I’m not sure we will.
Tova – It is the affluent who have created climate change, and it is the less privileged who are more impacted by climate change. It is the people we need to think about.
