Quotes and Take-Aways:

Sammy – That’s something I learned at a course at University of Waterloo. When you’re feeling anxiety, think of your five senses. Name one thing you can see, one thing you can hear, one thing you can smell, taste and touch. That brings you back to the moment.

Stephanie – I was reading a fictional novel and one of the characters experienced executive dysfunction. I had never heard that term, so I looked it up and I thought, “that’s exactly what I have.” I looked into it more. One of the most common reasons people have executive dysfunction is because they have ADHD.

Stephanie – The more we pay attention to this issue (ADHD) and recognize that it’s a problem, then hopefully it will become easier for women especially to get that diagnosis.

Stephanie – I like to be very open with my mental health struggles, because I find it encourages other people to talk about it.

Bulletin Board Quote brought to you by Elise: Downtown is in the middle of the bowl.
